well, ****...yet another swap coming up next week...
Hey guys,
you probably know about all the problems I have with my car by now-no power after warm up, exhaust studs broken and today............a nice long slip between 2-3...hmmm, I am getting really tired of this but unfortunatelly when you can't afford a newer vehicle you'll have to deal with **** like this. I have a 89 se 5 spd in good condition which I am planning on swapping next week. My plan is to pull the engine and tranny as a whole which I believe will make things easier. I'll also have to do a clutch/timing belt/tensioner job while everything is out....oh,wish me luck...

Sounds like a pain. But if you're pulling out the tranny and engine intact, then it should be a whole lot smoother than leaving it in the car.
Best of luck on that.
BTW, when you say "exhaust studs broken," do you mean the at the exhaust manifold? I have the same issue there. When the tranny was replaced they apparently snapped them off or didn't replace them because mine are all broken or missing, so now my car is loud as ****!
