I myself want to go with Eibach's. Usually when you hear lowering springs for imports they are the first to pop into your head. I found a set on ebay for $150 (somewhere in that range). And as far as I know, each company makes a different size drop. So you may want to check out the websites for whatever companies you think you may want to go with and see what drops they offer and go with the one that suites you.

I went with eibachs (to be installed in the next couple of days)...Besides their reputation, I went with them simply because I live in Hillbilly Country with sh!tty roads and I need all the ground clearance I can get!

I have Eibachs. Mostly for quality, partly for ground clearance as they have the least amount of drop, which is what I was after.
One of the lowest drops in springs for the 3rd gen is offered by a company based out of my neck of the woods (Canada that is).
They're called Canuck Motorsports. Easily found on eBay. Solid reputation from people I know who have bought them, and incredibly good price. Especially with the US/Can exchange rate. They're based out of Vancouver.

1 vote for intrax. The best looking drop IMO.

Not to go off on a tangent but why do struts in 3rd gen maximas go bad so quickly? They don't seem like they last very long!!

Nobody makes lowering struts for our cars. We have to make do with performance struts made for the stock ride height.

I've had both eibach and intrax and prefer intrax.

strut travel to begin with is not very much and then you lower the car over an inch to two inches and you lose a lot of strut travel. that will cause your struts to prematurely ejac.....i mean fail.

i went with sprint springs and tokico blue shocks. sprint had a 1.8" drop in the front and a 2" drop in the rear. the streets are forgiving where i live, but when i hit a bump or small pothole its a little rough. im happy with the stance.

One of these days I am going to look into fabbing up new strut mounts that would restore travel and save struts. I have access to a badass machine shop at school, it's just a matter of me being lazy.

i've run both eibach and intrax....depends on what you want. if you want a drop intrax is the way to go. if you want a more subtle drop and more performance then go with eibach. i've never really like the way sprints settle on 3rd gens.

I have H&R and I like the combination of ride quality and handling. They aren't available anymore AFAIK.

IMO the biggest difference is going to be the dampers. Thumbs up for going with Koni. I had Tokicos first, and they just don't measure up at all.

so is it dollar wise to just buy a monroe or gabriel and slap it with an eibach?

I have had intrax for a while now.. I regret getting them, The reason I regret it is because its too low and i really bottom out evry freaking where i got in nyc... this is pot hole USA. Everywhere i drive i just bump up and down like a civic with cut springs..yeah that bad. I have intrax with tokicos. The springs feel good on even clear roads, but not in nyc...

I might go back to either stock or if the least the eibach. max is at 146700's

No, because those monroe or gabriel are not designed to work with higher-rate, shorter springs. They will blow out more quickly and you'll have to replace them more often.
