Struck gold walking to lunch...

Walking over the main highway bridge to lunch today, I look at the overflow inventory of Cadillac/Infiniti. See a few used Nissans and Cadillacs in the bunch. But what do I see, but a sapphire blue 92-94 SE. I can see that the hood and front fender is damaged, but took a detour and checked it out. Had to look twice at the mileage....at only 60k on the odometer =O Only bad thing, its an automatic. Thinking about calling them up and seeing what they'd be asking for it instead of sending it to the auto auction.

Yes, 5-sp conversion! If there is little to no rust on the car, ****** it up.

Off-topic: Is your town really called Fredneck, MD?

Make sure there isn't any bad rust, and definatly do the 5spd swap when you get around to it.. A very worthwhile mod.

I called the dealer and spoke to a salesman, he didn't seem to know much about it and got my number as far as what they are asking for it. I never got a call back at my office, so I will give them a call monday when I get in. The more I think about it, the more I want it.

Only thing I see it needs is a hood and front grill. I looked underneath and saw no rust, but that doesn't mean its not behind the rear seats.

After 60 minutes of BS. First I went to Infiniti, they knew nothing of it, then told me to go check Cadillac or Toyota. So after speaking to those guys, they knew nothing about it either. So i just drove over to the lot 1/4 mile away and wrote down the VIN, stock #, etc. It was Infiniti's trade. So I talked to the used car salesman and told me some wholesaler already bought it. Basically he said in the state of MD, new car dealers are not able to sell cars that won't pass MD safety inspection to the public. Unless I had a wholesale license, then he'd be able to pull some strings.

So, I guess thats the end of that. I gave him my card and told him to give me a call if any 5spd Maximas come through on trade in.
