strange noise w BOSE...help
My '89 came with BOSE and often hear a noise (like a whistling or whirring) that gets higher in pitch as I accelerate. WTF? Anyone have this problem? What can I do? Also, the sound is there no matter what mode the headunit is in (radio, CD, tape...)

could be contaminated power. You're picking up stuff from your alternator that's bypassing your regulator. Check your grounds for corrosion, loose wires, blah blah, you get the idea. It can also be EMI (electro-magnetic interferrence) from the plug wires. Since you have a VG i would go ahead and get new plug wires. What's the worst that can happen? Whether it fixes it or not you get new plug wires.
