STB question
STB question
i asked this question in a previous post and got now reply and i was thinking about it today so i figured I'd ask again
on a STB do you tighten:
<------ ------> outward
or
------> <------ inward
I figured inward but since there was no type of instructions included i thought it couldn't hurt to ask

This is what I did with mine:
put each side on, making sure they each have about 2-3 threads in
then I would put it level on the floor and twist the bar itself until the brackets fits on the TB itself
I would then hand tight the nuts that holds the brackets on to the TB, then continue to twist the bar until its as tight as I can get it, (vise grip + piece of cloth), then I would finally tighten the lock nuts to prevent the bar from being able to twist again, then torque the bracket nuts down to specs.

I bought a cheapy one off Ebay and with the nuts on it would not fit so i had to take them off and than apply it. Now that i have it on it has settle and i was able tighten it a little more but still not enough room to have the nut on
