Passenger side Axle/ball joint issue maybe related to ST sway
Okay,
I removed my passenger side hub to replace a wheel bearing, and when I went to put it back together, I could not get to line up right. The control arm was up too high ....
After tearing the outer CV boot trying to force everything back into place, I realized that I need to lower the control arm to get everything to go back into place correctly.
I just had this axle off about a year ago when I was doing a clutch job, and I do not remember it being this difficult to put back together.
I am trying to figure out whether I need to loosen the ST sway bar connection, and if that will let me bring the control arm down enough to put it all back together....or if I should even have to do this at all....maybe the arm is bent, and that is what is not allowing it to all line back up, or maybe the ball joint need to be lined up with the car on the ground?
Any assistance would be helpful...I'm headed out to change the axle now
