Airbag system recall stuff

So I was replacing my fuel filter and noticed this

I don't remember airbag recalls being discussed much here, but i suppose if you don't have one of these under your hood, you may be affected.

This is the NHTSA PDF file: http://199.79.180.163/prepos/files/A...-94V007-NN.PDF

Otherwise if you go to the NHTSA recall site (http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...allsearch.cfm), it's campaign number 94V007000.

I read a bit of the PDF and it sounds like the defect causes your airbag to deploy after an impact to the undercarriage of the vehicle. ie: running over big rocks.

This only affects 92 and 93 model years produced before September 1992. Or so it seems...

id like to find out; i used my ecu to see errors and ever since, my airbag light has been blinking. its quite annoying. i dont know if nissan would even bother with repairing the airbag after 17-12 years...but its still their responsibility.

The airbag system is supposed to be serviced every 10 years... I know my previous owner was pretty good about maintenace so I'm going to assume that that maintenace was done. The airbags don't really concern me, but I thought maybe someone else would find the above information useful.
