good basic struts?

Anyone use Monroe Sensatrac struts? How do they compare to the KYB gr2s? Just need some replacements.

theres the monroe gabrial and the kyb's for factory replacement. the gaberials are worthless i have kyb's with ebiach springs and they have held up great. so i wouls assume it would be fine for factory. the monroes might end up being a little cheaper. i think my kyb's were around 200

Thanks for the info. I ended up getting the monroe sensatracs, since they got the special $90 off deal going when you buy 4. Did the Eibachs stiffen up the ride pretty good? I could probably use some new springs too, since mine seem to be sagging.

poor choice from everything I have read on here. People have pretty much said the Monroes are junk...maybe they were using lowering springs though. I would not put lowering springs on them at least. Surely they should last as a stock replacemet though.

If you want a good ride do not get KYB's! Too stiff.....Great for racing

I think your problem is that you don't have any air in your tires, not the struts

Is there any strut that you can use lowering springs on that will still let the max ride softly .......

(NOT looking for stiff ride, or no body roll, or tight cornering just smooth riding)

I want the lowered look with a smoooth ride IS THAT POSSIBLE??

I thought the Konis are the sportiest we could buy.. So they are the softest too? Best of both worlds or something?

KYB's are pretty stiff - but oh, the control.

I've had two sets of Monroes on the rear and would not recommend them.

i love my kyd's with ebiach's the ride is a little stiff but i also use to drive a 300 and 280 zx so its not too stiff to me and the cornering is well worth the little sacrifice in normal ride quality

Yea. You are right about that 30 series/rubber bands do not help the situation. However when I retired my 3 month old KYB's and went back to OEM's.............what a difference, great ride! And same tires.
