hey anyone have motorized seatbelts?

Hey guys, yesterday on the frreway my buckle up light came on for a while then turned off then back on ,then its stopped. I have the motorized belts , they work fine, no jerking or hesitation. Anyone had this problem b4? I think it might be the contact in the clip that is used up but would like your opinion on it. thanks guys

My did that and I bought it back to the local dealer 4 times and "forced" them to fix it. Seat belt are life time warranty.

Doug is right, the seatbelts have a lifetime warranty.

If you have any problems with them you can take them into the dealer and they will have to fix them. I think there is a clause about abuse, but the things you all are talking about should be fixed. I think in a lot of instances you have to be forceful and bring in the warranty information or at least be prepared to make them look it up.

My driver's side belt was frayed pretty bad and I took it in. Initially, they didn't want to fix it, but eventually I got to the service manager and read him the warranty information out of my owner's manual. He had to double check it in the information they had. They did replace it for free. As a bonus, the entire front seat belt system (both driver and passenger side) is all one assembly, so both belts were replaced.

There is a electronic switch built into the lap belt assembly where your red release button is. The switch tend to get dirty. Buy some "electronic contact cleaner" from Radio Shack, Spray it in and you should be back in business.

It fixed mine!

I still can's get past all the great info here. I, like many others I am sure, just dealt with the seatbelt digging. Just another crazy quark!! But now there is hope! HA!!

The passenger side on mine did that once, only it didn't engage at all until I unhooked it and buckled it back up. It hasn't happened since, but it did freak my girlfriend out

by unhooked do you mean at the "A" piller or at the door latch?

On the part that moves the automatic belt forward and back there is an emergency release button (should be a red sticker). Once I un-buckled that, the motorized part kicked in and went forward without the belt, then came back. That's when I buckled it back up. Maybe there was something wrong with what makes the belt tighten on mine, I don't know. I'm just telling you what I did. Hope it helps, though-

Motorized seatbelts are great. Atleast you never have to worry about getting a ticket for not wearing your seat belt. Some times they can strangle you if you are not careful, but its worth it.
