I recently broke my key off in the trunk and need to get a new key made. I took the trunk cylinder to a locksmith to make a key but the key doesnt work all the way around the car. It will open the trunk, and ignition. It will not open the glove box. the intesting thing is that the key will lock the drivers door only, and will unlock the passenger side only. Very strange. Does anyone know how I can replace the master key, get a new one. I called a dealer here in brooklyn and they told me that it was too old and that they dont have they keycode anymore. Can anyone Please help?

Found the Keycode written on a piece of paper within the manual pouch in the glove box. Looks like it was from the dealer. Has the Keycode,Year, VIN, Color, Make and Model. All the info in need, well almost. Now that I have the Keycode, where do I go to get a key made. Will a local locksmith be able to make it for me? How much should I expect to pay? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

I had mine made at the dealer for $5 (maybe it was $15) the only thing was it wasn't cut on an OE key
