the correct PCV valve......

............so i go to autozone to get a PCV valve for my max. i look up the part # in the book, find the part, buy it , and then i go home to find that the PCV valve is made out of metal and is screwed into the block. the one from autozone is made of plastic and has no thread to screw in.
i don't get it. should i go to pep boys to buy the part or do i need to go to the stealership?

Whats the deal with Autozone? Tell them you don't want that crap and get your money back. Try the stealership if the price fits you, but I don't see anything wrong with the one I got from internetautomar for like $4

Ya, just get the one from Internetautomart, you will get the exact one you need, with good service. And it's much cheaper than the $13 you'll pay at the dealer.

That's what happens when you shop at AutoZone

if all he needs is a PCV valve, he'd end up paying more than at the dealership once you figure in shipping.
the dealer should only be like $10-15 so just get it there and drive happy.
unless of course you need more parts

dude if you get universal fuel hoses it should be cheap.. we sell by the ft. for 99 cents and is goodyear...try going to autozone or something and see if they sell hoses by the ft. and bring in the old hose if so for them to compare. Shouldn't be more than 10 bucks.

I've had problems with parts stores like autozone and schucks. They tend to mix together the parts from the VG and VE engines and let you figure it out. Go in with the old part and match it or deal with someone who knows Maximas.
