rough idle in gear
rough idle in gear
I'm getting alot of vibrations at idle(600-650rpms) while i'm in gear. when I step on the gas, the car shudders up to 2k rpms, after that it runs smooth. when the rpms start to return to under 2k the vibrations comes back. that S**t is annoying. does someone have any solutions?

the problem happens for a day, then the next couple of days to weeks it doesn't do it.

it ended up resolving itself after I lent the car to a friend of mine.
yes, when my car starts shuddering (about twice a year), i run the $12 bottle of chevron/techron injector cleaner through. always does the trick. just did it today and shes running a lot better. could probably use a second treatment like the bottle suggests, but i have to eat with that money!
on another note, when my headers werent fully sealed (had to have the manifold studs replace), i was getting a huge power loss in the engine and violent shaking; i found that it stopped right after i changed my oil (after a few minutes of driving, the car began to run normal) this happened to me twice and only while my exhaust was, technically, disconnected. i can only guess that the oxygen sensor was working incorrectly and that my oil became super dirty?...very weird. thought i had a blown head gasket and it only needed an oil change! (i change my oil every month, mind you). lol. i recommend that you make sure that you can afford any mod you make to your car (at least if youre going to mod it correctly). sensors are no joke.
either way, they are cheaper suggestions to a likely fix.

heres another cheap try. buy teh crc air intake cleaner . Warm teh car up, put it in idle and then spray the stuff in throught the PCV valve. use about a 1/4 of the can. then take it out for a power ride.
Well,i found my problem....SPARK PLUGS!!
It had a misfire under load,so i decided before i tear the whole top of the engine off to change the injectors that i would check the spark plugs..Ugh
They looked BAAAAAADDDD!!
20 minutes later it is puurrrin like a kitten...

congrats MyGreenmax, i found my problem. I was hoping it wasn't going to be my injector.....well with my luck it is. the injector does click at all. i'm really limited on cash to get them all changed now. I'm looking around for a good deal on them. what is the correct injector for a gxe?
