interesting stuff... i just noticed the other night, that if you leave the switch in the middle position (the power comfort switch) so that neither mode is on, but if you prod the gas, even if you dont floor it, but jolt the gas really hard the power mode auto matically activates till you take your foot off the gas again! the light lights up on the p. pretty cool! something i just noticed and felt like sharing. anyone else seen that?

I'm not sure if it has 2 or 3 settings. The middle setting might either be "normal" or just like an auto setting where it stays in comfort until you need more performance and then it switches to power.

yea.. that what i thought too, but i didnt konw it actually engaged power mode, just thought it acted like it. basically the same thing. if you have it in comfort, it wont engage power at all, even if you floor the gas.

does that switch actually do anything? I really haven't noticed anything different between comfort mode and power mode. on my mom's camry, she's got a switch between normal mode and power mode too. really c an't tell a difference. i think its there to play with your head so you think its going faster when it really isn't

it holds the rpms higher when its on... youll notice it but its only slight.so itll shift at 3000 instead of 2500 if thats where you have your foot on the gas.

Well Duh?
?
kidding but is the comfort light supposed to stay on while its set to c?

and also if you are driving the car normally and you hit the gas reguaraly and the light comes on that indicates a problem with the tranny.
