Yay new parts ordered!! Now I have a big pile waiting for me to install! New 145mph gauges cluster w/indiglow gauges, LED's for a conversion to blue interior lights, E36 projectors, 18" moda rims, Kuhmo 235/40/18's, koni struts, B&G springs, stillen kit, warpspeed y-pipe, and the GReddy exhaust. I'll post pics during install to keep y'all up to date. Before pic comming up soon! Hopefully the AFTER pic will be up by July/August! Thanks to internetautomart, twotonemax, n8., justinmc, jkmay01, and Ebay!!!

yeah I thought about that.....here is my solution. I have all this new exhaust stuff, but still the stock cat. Can I get a cat thats 2.5 in 2.25 out? AND here's another dilemma with the exhaust. I got the GReddy off ebay for $125...sweet deal hmm? Anyways....it looks like the exhaust doesn't have the section that makes the 90 deg. turn after the axles...kno what I mean? The exhaust usually comes with two pieces but I think the one I bought only has the muffler half...so I was just gonna take it to a muffler shop and have them fab a piece. Not a big deal I think. So anyways my question is...should I find a cat with 2.5in/2.25out or should I just take care of the difference with that pipe section I'm still missing?

You've got it figured out. Take care of the difference with a Pipe section.
If your Stock Cat has over 100K mi. on it; it's clogged. Then have a straight pipe made for it, or get a highflow cat depnding on your states inspection laws.
Can you upload some cardomain pictures of your exhaust?
I've had several types of setups. I can give you some direction if needed.

so I asked the seller of that exhaust the other day "what gives, the exhaust was advertised as CAT-BACK and it looks like it only goes halfway" He sent me back an e-mail today saying it's 5 feet long....and DOES go from cat-back. Am I just confused? Every GReddy system i've seen for this car is 2pc....and 5ft from muffler tip to cat converter seems too short...unless 5ft is the length of the pipe not including muffler????? idk. The car is registered in Illinois...so does anyone know if I can just do a test pipe instead of a new converter?

Unless your state has emissions testing, just get a testpipe made. I never used cats on my cars, of course I'm against all emission control devices :P

Like I said... Don't hate, congratulate.
Anyways, if he likes it. That's cool. Some people are happy with what they currently have. Maybe things will be better for him than you. Everyone have their opinions.
If there a problem with a product, warn him. It's more productive than "dissing" (quotes for all you hardcore word/grammar nerds) him.
... and quit with those initials, I don't know what you're saying.
"So I was like kmrn. And she said, 'ghysb.' She was tlabm"
Translate that.
P.S. I do know what WTF and IMO means, but "omgz u roxorz" Oh my god..?

Yeah and don't forget.....almost everyone hating on these mods has/had them at one point. Be nice it's my first project car. I teach myself bondo next week.... I have a feeling it might be a bad idea to try though. Any reccomendations on how to start? What grit sandpaper? I don't have the skills but I have the patience....I heard thats half the battle???....I hope.... My plans were to just do a panel at a time....sand it down, bondo the small dents, smooth it out, and primer it by masking off each panel at a time. I figure I can do a panel every two days or something. Does that sound possible?? or am I going about it all wrong.

don't try on your car...try on a scrap piece of steel or something. hit up your local body shop...they usually have busted up panels around that you can pick out for free and you can try messing around with that.
