Spark plug socket problem
To remove/install the spark plugs an extension is a must.
I have no problems removing them. But sometimes when I install them, and then try to pull the socket off the plug, the socket stays attached to the plug and the extension bar comes out.
I have a Craftsman quick-release 3/8" rachet and it locks in the extension. But I have no way of locking in the socket to the extension.
What do you guys do to solve this?

Duct tape the socket to the extension?
I have tried that! Instead of duct tape, I used electrical because it can stretch. I tightly wound it around it carefully. The problem is that it sometimes gets "chafed" while inside the hole and I don't want bits of it to fall down the combustion chamber.
But that was a good thought.
before installing the spark plug, try spraying some silicone spray in the area where the rubber holds the spark plug. it works a couple times, then you have to spray again.
if all else fails, use needle nose pliers to pull the socket out. it will take a little dexterity to get it in there.
