1993 Maxima Runs rough

I was getting really low on gas when on my way home so I filld it up no my car is running rough like a tractor. Is it bad gas or could one of my plugs be missing no matter what speed it runs really rough. It just started doing this after I filled up. The car has just been tuned and the wires and cap replaced.

Maxima Runs Rough

Do you mean check for loose wires? They were just replaced about 3 months ago. How often should you change the fuel filter?

I checked both the FSM and the owner's manual and both say nothing as to a regular change interval, I just changed mine when I did plugs/wires. As for the rough stuff...I had that with mine a little while back (when Ethanol became mandatory) after going through the first tank of it (chugging @ idle, seemed like it was missing no matter what gear I was in/how fast I was going) but now it's just fine (haven't encountered it since)...it could also be that all the crud that builds up at the bottom of the gas tank was running through the system(if you don't tend to ride it past the E line each time you fill up)...just my $.02

You may want to start looking at your injectors. As of late, it seems that a lot of 3rd gen Maximas have been experiencing a rash of bad injectors. On both of mine, the GXE with VG and the SE with the VE have bad injectors--at the same time.

This is not to say that is definitly your issue, but a rough running car is a sympton of a bad injector. Check the resistance of each injector. The reading should be between 10 and 14 ohms. All of mine, except for the bad ones, read 11.5 ohms.

had similiar problem, disconect spark plug one at a time with engine running and see where makes no diference that will be a bad injector or maybe more than one, luck!
