Hi,

In the process of tapping out the injector from the fuel rail. I accidently broke the pintle cap on one of the good injector. I want to know can I just put everything together as is or I will have to get another injector. Thanks

Update.

Just got the fuel rail and everything installed. Started couple times and engine stalled. Now I can't even start and take out the key. Seem like the starter is stuck or something, but it's really weird that I can't even take out the key. Need answer ASAP. Any help will be appreicated

I'm not a car expert but there is no link between your car running and the key in ignition. It’s just an advanced switching mechanism. Hell my key falls out when I take left turns too fast.

Just love tape the steering column and yank that steering wheel back and forth press the brake back and forth and change gears (manual) or slide the shifter back and forth and back to park (auto.) Maybe even shoot some white lithium up there. Good luck.

Found the problem it's the battery. I guess it doesn't have enough juice, but I have another problem which is a massive vaccumm leak now. Am I suppose to use Gasket Maker on Intake Manifold? I got the High Temp one laying around. Thanks

NO! Did you replace the paper gaskets with new and follow the torque spec and pattern?

Where's the vacuum leak coming from? Did you forget to replace a hose? Is it from around the injectors?

I sprayed TB Cleaner to the Intake Manifold and the RPM shoot to 1500. That's why I assume it has a vaccum leak. I sprayed to the injectors area. I took every apart multiple times to make sure everything sit right and installed correctly, but still my car will stall as soon as I start it. Could it be the Fuel rail that causing the vaccum Leak. That is the only thing I didn't reinstall. And yes I replaced the gasket for Upper Intake Manifold, Lower Intake Manifold, TB and EGR Valve. I also replaced all Vaccum hose. Thanks

will it stall right after starting or after putting it into drive (is this an auto or manual?). you mentioned that all the vac lines are good right?

You definitely have a vacuum leak at the intake. Spray the cleaner around just each injector (avoid the plastic on the injector), then at where the manifold meets the head. Also spray at the plenum-manifold junction. The gasket can slip during reassembly. Also, if you didn't replace the injector "cushions" (manifold-injector seal), perhaps working on the manifold caused them to move or crack.
Put a tube on the cleaner spray and just dribble the spray along the seams, and see where eactly it is leaking.

It stall right after starting. I am using the metal gasket for Upper and Lower IM. Is paper gasket better than the Metal one? All vac lines are good. I just need to know if Fuel Rail will causes the vac leak. If yes then I will go ahead and take it apart for the 5th time.

The fuel rail carries only fuel so it can't carry air into the intake. What will cause a vacuum leak is where the fuel rail sticks into the intake manifold, around the injectors. There are rubber donuts called cushions there that seal the intake manifold to the fuel rail (if your GXE is similar to my SE) and these donuts can be out of place or cracked or just stretched out and allow air to slip past them causing a vacuum leak.

Yea, that's what I think is causing the problem. those rubber donuts/ring seem to be very hard. I guess I can order some new one thru the dealer. Does anyone knows the part-number for those rings. Thanks

I don't know the part number for the Orings, but the dealership will be able to find them for ya.

I got my pintle caps from C&C Injection in Reno. Look here for more information: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=481918 This thread was only a few threads away from the one you started.

You can also get sets of the "O" rings and cushions from NAPA.
