lopey idle

so i got the car back from the dealer who replaced a rubber vent hose back near the fuel filler and now she runs a little rough...
it almost kinda sorta feels like she's not running on all 6 cylinders....it takes longer to get up to speed....she seems to stumble considerably at lower speeds...never stalled though.....i just did fuel filter, plugs, wires , cap and rotors a few weeks ago...

any thoughts before i fubar this puppy?

check your fuel pressure before and after the fuel filter.
maybe they dislodged some garbage in the tank when they did the work and now it's clogged in your fuel filter.

ok so instead of actually putting a gauge on it i felt the fuel line just after (between the filter and the engine) the filter and there was a definite pulsation which very closely mirrored the lopey-ness i'm experiencing....it wasn't as evident in the fuel line between the filter and the tank though it was present.....

at least we're all in the right direction - i think

that could simply be the injectors pulsing and causing a loss in pressure at the filter.

I would change the filter and see what hapepns. if that doesn't fix it, call the dealer and tell them they need to fix your car. it was running fine when you took it to them, and changing a vent hose shouldn't have caused any driveability problems.

Maybe this is the fuel pressure regulator. Did they disconnect that hose or damage it? I don't know which engine you have, but on mine the FPR is attached to a metal pipe that runs with other pipes that run under the throttle body. Perhaps they hooked up the vacuum hoses incorrectly?

It could also be a bad injector, pray it is not. Test the ohm's on the injectors with car off, you should read around 10-12 ohms.

I'm betting on crap got into your fuel line since the car is 3rd gen; a.k.a OLD.

That 10% ethanol really rust's up the lines from what I've heard and it's not even that f-ing "environmentally friendly".

thanks guys on all the reccomendations...keep 'em coming...i was gonna try to get readings from the the injectors but the vg isn't all too friendly in the respect. i dropped the spark plug wires and each one did make a noticeable difference so at least i know it isn't that.

i'll swap in a filter and see what happens....i just hate throwing parts at something when i'm not at least 85% certain...

i'll report back tomorrow...thanks again guys
