Just wanted to say wasssup to maxima.org peeps. I just bought a '94 GXE, and gotta say I'm liking the car. Wish it was a SE though. I just sold my '94 300Z TT and I'm thinking this Max will do fine as a family car.

For some advice, is there anything I need to check out on the car, any known probs?

Why'd you get rid of the Z? I'd MUCH rather have that thing! (but of course I don't have a family to cram into a Z either)..


things to watch out for: trannies, window regulators, speed sensors, rough idle, Bose stereo going bad.. I think that's about it for the obvious ones..

most of them are minor problems that just annoy you. (like a window getting stuck up/down when you need it in the opposite position.

From my experisnces, the tranny is the only real weak link on these cars. blow it up and you're out $2-3000 for another one. I would highly recommend installing an aftermarket tranny cooler if there's not one already on it.

Sold the Z cause of a child on the way, Z just wasn't practical anymore. But just gives me more reason to mod the Maxima.
