Help...92 maxi, Power lock problem

Seems like every time I post on here it's cause of some nasty problem or another

I've got a 92 Maxi, as of the last time I posted I was driving down the road when all of the sudden my engine died and wouldn't restart, no noises or nothing. Turned out that one of my oil-pressure based tensioners had come apart, damaged 2/3 timing chains, cracked 1 valve in each head and blew the caps off of both front and rear VTC's. 2 tensioners, 2 VTC's, machine work, 2 valves, spark plugs, gasket set, belts, water pump, about a grand in parts total and plenty of work later it runs again, though it seems to stall periodically when the A/C is on. Now I'm looking to fix it up and sell it, hoping to get myself a 5th gen with a sunroof and a 5-speed (I really miss the sunroof).

Accordingly I'm fixing a few small annoying problems before I put the car on the market. My current problem is this - after locking the car, when I want to get out I push the unlock portion of the power lock switch, all 4 doors will unlock and then immediately re-lock themselves. Sometimes I would have to press the unlock button 3 or 4 times to get the locks to stay in the up position.

I initially thought this was the fault of the passenger door lock module, which seemed to "click" in between the locked and unlocked positions. I replaced the PS lock module with a junkyard one that didn't have that problem, and now I still have the re-locking problem - but I only have to press the unlock button 1 more time to get the door to open, as opposed to the 2-4 times as previously encountered. This tells me that the lock module was contributing to the problem but wasn't entirely the problem.

I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem, and also what it took to fix it. I'm also curious if anyone in the midwest wants to buy a Red '92 Maxi, VE/5 speed

Sounds like the door lock timer needs to be resoldered...Common problem with the 3rd gen maximas..

My locks were messing up,and I found the problem to be
the wires that are plugged into the door lock timer.
I found the plug and just pushed the wires to the left
and the power locks came back on. After about three
times of doing this I taped the wires with some electrical
tape and they've worked fine every since.

Possessed Door Locks

The good news is I've had the same problem. The bad news is that I haven't cured it yet. When I use the outside door key locks, sometimes the bounce up then back down immediately. This happens from both sides.
I've resoldered the timer and pulled out the master window switch from the door and sprayed circuit cleaner into it. That has made it better, but not gone.

There is something in the circuit, that I haven't identified yet, that allows you to turn the key once to open the drivers door and twice to open them all. I think that this switch has a bad connection or goes too far and sends out the close lock signal. Does anyone know where this function resides?

Door Locks

Sometimes when first start my car the door locks will freak out and I'll hear a relay clicking like crazy under the dash somewhere untill I shut the car back off, they kind of have a mind of their own.
