Where is the best place for a deal on clutches?

I don't need a stage 3 or anything, just something that will hold up better than OEM.

Also, looking at part numbers.... I noticed that 84-01 are the same???

Looking in the GD section, Exedy any good for $270?

Clutch

I just put in a "proclutch" that I got off of ebay. It's supposed to be a stage one. It has an Exedy disk. Not a bad buy for the price I think it was about $160 shipped and I haven't had any problems with it. I was also just looking for something slightly better that OEM and I'm happy with it.

Exedy + Fidanza > *

OEM pedal feel and effort, (slightly lighter IMO), no slip, fast revs.

Think I found a good deal for an exedy, the pressure plate looks real beefy too.

www.nipponpower.com is where I got my SPEC. If you get the 84-86 300ZX clutch you can usually save a bit of money and they have higher capacity ratings. The throwout bearing that comes with it doesn't work with the Maxima but the disk and pressure plate bolt right up.

Yeah, the Fidanza and Exedy work really well. Myself, I'm going with UR and Zoom stage 2.

I have an ACT and it is much stiffer than stock. It grabs a helluva lot better, too. I also have a Fidanza.

Exedy here as well (stillen flywheel) but I havent got the car running to tell you how I like it. I will say I liked the feel of PA's car when I drove it (he came down here a couple of weeks ago).

I was at the track with I30tmikeD from here on the org. who had just dynoed at i belive about 380 whp.. and i was traping the same MPH as he was (111 mph). and my car weighs about 3-400 pounds more. That was a few months ago.. and ive done a few more things since. thats as much proof as i can come up with

I have an Exedy 3 puck mated to a fidanza. It has chatter when it engages(very rough) and it grips like a scorn monkey. It makes me afraid to slam through the gears though; Borg Warner can't handle it.
