Gonna have to go with no.

Spray painting over your lights, with the exception of a few decent nightshade jobs, is frowned apon by just about everyone everywhere.

You said something about having an extra set of lights, so no need to worry =)

And if we're going to critique, your muffler looks like it is a bit too "tucked" under there, I can see a bit of soot on the bumper even at camera-phone resolution.

Just my .02

I'm new BTW, so if anyone feels like flaming I've all ready prepared for that initiation. =)

a kit with no wheels looks like poop
major mods with no wheels (or a drop) looks like poop

you dont need alot of money to invest, but you need to invest wisely...................only then can you be dirtrich
Quoted for budget trufe.

Rice wing $50-300
Spray paint $4
Ebay cheapo kit $400+

Eibach lowering springs $220
Clean/fix interior $0-50 (depending if you need to fix cracked parts etc)
Clean exterior $10 and /\ + time
aftermarket radio = $50-$500 and up

My 240sx was all faded red (about 10 diffrent shades), had a ****ty sterio and a riced out interior.

I replaced the shifter trim, window switch trim, cleaned the dash and vaccumed it out. Cost $10

My uncle gave me a sterio setup and I ebayed it. $75 HU, $50 speakers (fusion 6x9s which I really like) and a $85 amp Im not even using. So a total of $125 gives me a great sound system that is great for most ppl.

Then I primered it with red so its actually one color, and replaced my bent fender. I HATE primer but its not the average black you see and is better then thatfaded garbage that was my paint. This summer Im painting it nissan KH2, or charcoal grey. Primer, $30 (including sandpaper and paint) or $300+ for materials and tools only plus time and skill if you have it.

So painted tails = teh rice. A waxed and lowered car = teh cleannes. Look at Greenmax's max. Its in good shape, on cheap rims and its lowered. It looks great and isn't riced at all.

Charcoal grey FTW... I love that color.

If you want better looking tails, just throw on the some VE tails. They look the best imo.

you know if u added some chrome rings to them they probably dress it up and make it not look so much like some cheesy spray paint job and maybe more like they were intended to be like that. maybe even do some fiber glassing to raise it up a little so they resemble the skyline tail lights more. like these ones. maybe do the larger ring so that part has the reverse light showing and the smaller only for your brake

meh i got plenty of compliments and plenty of flames. they were extra gxe tails... i have 92 SE tails on my car with a black center piece debadged.... i like that look personally. i like the tail lights but i wish i had the stock wing on it. speedmax wants the non wing and i want the wing so we may swap trunks. how much would it cost to get a trunk/wing painted stock black?

3-400

and i would use the statement "plenty of compliments" very loosely.

i think everyone took a page from your book, "you want it, here it is HERE'S MY MIND"

I alwas thought about converting the lenses to LEDs. Not just the plug in kind, but actually csustom LEDS, even across the clear section in the middle for when the backup lights came on.

It'd be nice if they made a few aftermarket (not variations of DM) taillights for our cars.

P.S. Congradulate me, my E36's are on the way!!!

A lot of people don't know this but um, google has this neat function built in where you just put "define:word" but without the quotes and it defines it for you/ fixes your spelling if it's somewhat close. Probably takes way less than two minutes; and you don't have to go to one of those god awful dictionary sites.

even easier Google has a tool bar with a built in spell check. write what u want click the spell check and it tells u whats wrong and than gives you options on words it could be.

Even easier yet, Mozilla Firefox has a spell check built right in so that right when you type, it does a real time spell check. Plus, its a hell of a lot better than Internet Explorer, especially the new one. The new one is so slow that even with my brand new laptop, it would bog it down with only a few tabs open. I'm going to a Mac as soon as possible.
