Sanding suck baws, but man will it look naaas

Mattster 08-22-2006 11:55 PM

Definatly unique. If I still had my maxima I would do the same but I can do some fun things with my Fiero I got.....hmm....V8 or 3.8L SC? Think of it this way. The VG30 has 68 more HP than my fiero at the moment. 92HP baby! but RWD does make a difference.

RWD, midengine, less weight.
track car vs family car

BTW I'd go SBC or maybe N*

I've seen pics of a northstar swap into a fiero.

Back to the log. Added some curves and rough sanded with a grinder.

If I get all my small parts 2moro, I'm probubly going to stop with the body till I get it on the road. I got a light FW and a exedy stage 1 going on!

shvelle 08-24-2006 06:05 PM

Very nice! Are you planning on making a master mold of this in case you get into a collision?

yup, you havent been around long enough to know that the 3rd gen maxima community is too cheap to spend 80 bucks on a custom made gauge pilar, designed to perfectly fit our car, let alone another body kit

I know if I could. And sold it cheap, ONE person will buy it. But I can't anyway, because I didn't design all of it.

Chris Gregg 08-27-2006 06:02 PM

I second the comment to get a mold done. I'd be interested if you can get those lines cleaned up. I could probably even deal with the turn lighs being gone.

hadman 08-28-2006 10:59 PM

Your car will just look odd with paint goon. What the hell are you thinking! lol

if you tint the primer enough and reduce it enough it has a nice shine to it, no need for clear.............................

Beleive it or not, I used to have real nice glossy black paint. :chuckle:

Still undecided about kolor.

Thinking about HOK. No crazy glittery stuff, just a real classy color.

shvelle 09-21-2006 11:58 AM

505max94se 09-21-2006 04:12 PM

Good work dude, is the grill gonna be flat or on an angle ?

goon9 09-22-2006 02:44 PM

I know still mustangish...
Alot to do and very little time till it's too cold to glass.

Shaved, I'm really considering cutting a line down from the headlights.

I don't see anything wrong with the headlights. Mind you the 'pillar's next to then are going to be shaped more to flow. I'm also considering putting in e60 headlights. http://www.creativephotoart.nl/Ringtaxi_2005.jpg
I would have to redo some of it. I Really like how they look and at this stage, not a real big issue to pull off. Just waiting for a real good on a set.

The grill will most likely be a expanded metal mesh almost flat.

I'm probubly going to get some work done on the lower section and debate more about the headlights this weekend. Need Mo MONEY!

get some 5 series lights, those are too round for the body shape. and i would cut a line back, this way the bumper goes to the fender and looks like it flows better. i never liked that the bumper and fender were the way that they were, but i want going to mold it either..............

i don't think those headlights would fit the 3rd gen body line at all but who knows maybe it will look nice and practically unique as well. mind u, that if u do the E60 conversion u might have problems with the headlights workin' right since they actually use a computer to make the xenons adjust themselves once u turn them on. i use to work for BMW and they r pricey. i would go with the E39 since it brings the module right behind the headlight and its easier to work with while the E60 headlights bring 2 computers, 1 on the headlight and one inside the car under the glove box i believe. without those computers the xenons won't work. this is what my friend told me cuz he's a tech for BMW as well. but hey its ur creation im just tryin' to help u out on what u might need to know.

he could also just buy the capsures and use aftermarket hid's............................

goon9 10-06-2006 03:07 PM

Been slow, but here's an update. I'm keeping the headlights I already have. Considery the trouble I went through to make em... Anyway.

Hectic 10-06-2006 03:43 PM

imo, i think you should hack those pillars off man, but of course do what you want. either way though it's a pretty clean job.
