is the 1985 300zx vg30e auto gearbox exactly the same as the 1990 nissan maxima vg30e's? can i chang them straight over? is the 85' 300zx an electronic 4 speed auto? any help would be appreciated.

 

Max= Front wheel drive. 300zx= rear wheel drive. Trannies are not interchangeable!
