Locking 5Spd Transmission
Locking 5Spd Transmission
Hey i was just wondering, ive been looking for a viscous-type locking 5spd tranny for my maxima because right now i have the locking automatic. Does the same basic rule apply when turning the axles? Even when the fluid is out of it? This is a lady im talking to thats selling this tranny in cali and im having to explain to her how to identify it so im just making sure. What im refering to though as the basic rule is, you turn one axle, and the opposite side turns the same way.

I think that is the basic rule of thumb, but I'd get the code because I have a LSD and sometimes they turn the same way and sometimes they don't. Mine's probably worn out or something though because I can also tell it's not working when I gun it sometimes.
