Used Fuel Injectors

Hello,

I bought some used Nissan Fuel Injectors from Ebay. I got them today and looked at the condition of each injector. All of them had about 12 ohms, but I found that their were cracks on the pintle caps. The cracks are not major to a point where the inner metal can be seen.

Do I need to get these caps replaced? If so, how do I have to take them out and put them back on? I would like to hear your opinions and suggestions. Thanks.

My opinion on the whole matter is that getting used injectors isn't all that great due to the work involved to replace them. And you have no guarantee that one of them won't go bad withen a week or month of replacement.

you can get the pintle caps replaced. the trick is finding someone with the caps.
since you have a 91, you can have your local NAPA order the caps.
and just to be clear, 89-92 VG30E injectors are different than 93-94 VG30E injectors

Thanks for your replies. I am going to sell my car after I get this fixed.

I was comparing the injectors and found that they look exactly the same and have the same type of connectors. But, the part numbers are different. How are the 89-92 injectors different from the 93-94? I would like to know before I put these in.
