Painted plenum (pic) *update-installed*

Well had another injector go out on me yesterday. So while I am waiting for the new one go get here tomorrow I decided to take it all apart and clean the plenum. As i cleaned it I thought it might look good to paint it black. Tell me what you think. Ohh btw, the red letters are actually aztek red from nissan.

I think it looks good but it would look really good if you smoothed the texture first. Gloss black with a smooth plenum would look really good.

I assume sandpaper? I polished one of the tubes on mine just for the heck of it, took about 5 min with a bunch of different grits and looked amazing. unfortuneatly doesn't last very long.

I didnt mean to take over this thread with my comment. This is about his plenum not mine...no offense but I dont want the thread starter to think I was trying to one up him. I was just stating what I thought would look better but I really think his painted plenum looks better than stock.

I told exactly how I smoothed mine in the thread where I first showed my project pics though if you want to look at that.

what you need to do is track down a post that is similar (probably in the stickies) and post a reply in that thread if it doesnt have a solution. Dont hijack threads that have nothing to do at all with your problem.

BUT

your problem is your clock...common problem. Look on Craigs page for a way to fix it yourself.

well is it just the amb button that dimms or are the other buttons dimming as well?

The reason I say this is because the bulbs go out in those buttons adn can be replaced wtih a 12V bulb from radio shack.

IMO...and its hard to tell over the internet...if your amb button (and maybe one by it...cant remember how many buttons are lit by each bulb) it could very well be just a bulb in the ACC. IF all of your lights are dimming including the clock then it could be an electrical issue.
