Spoiler removal/replacement

The left side of my rear spoiler has broke loose from the trunk. I originally figured it was simply bolted though the trunk, but that is apparently not the case. I would like to remount the spoiler, but need to get it off the trunk first to fix it. Can anyone give some insight how the stock spoiler is removed? Thanks.

remove trunk liner, undo four 7mm bolts, unplug wiring and take it off carefully.

unless you glue it down, you probably won't be able to do much. The material that the spoiler is made of just warps itself and the screws will only tighten so much.

What is the best glue to use? Nobody replied in the other thread.

I will either use:

#1 2400 PSI Epoxy

#2 Gorilla Glue

What is better to hold the spoiler down? I'm gonna apply either one, & let it sit overnight, with C-clamps.

Thanks.

Hi! I have the same problem And someone suggest me to put some double sided tape but didn't work, it came off after a few days, I've looking for the original clips that secures the spoiler to the trunk but I haven't had any luck, I wish someone could share information about where to get this clips.

My Spoiler has done the same thing. There was a thread on here a while back where the guy actually filled the wing with a gap filler and secured new bolts into that and mounted it to the car again (i think that is what he did anyway but dont quote me)

I fixed mine by filling the holes where the screw studs were in the center section with silicone adhesive and then screwing in spiral sheetrock anchors until flush and then let it set and cure overnight. Then the next day after cleaning all surfaces I screwed bolts into the sheetrock anchors through the trunk and glued the outside edges down with more silicone adhesive and set sandbags on each end and left it overnight. Stuck great.

Did the sheetrock screw anchors need to be trimmed or did they fit in full length?

Thanks everyone for the reply's. I believe I will try reinstalling the loose studs into the spoiler with an epoxy resin.
