Driver Side Main Window Switch Repairable?

Driver Side Main Window Switch Repairable?

does any one know if there is a thread on repairing the main window switch fir all the windows. My driver side button was working intermediatly and now gave up on me.

the only "repair" you can do is resolder any connections which may be loose.

I have had 2 or 3 different switch assemblies fail and have looked into repairing them...easier said than done. Do yourself a favor and get one from the junk yard or someone doing a part-out.

yes you can repair them. most likely you fried a trace on the circuit board. i should have posted a how to thread when i fixed mine. it's not that tough, you just have to find the burnt areas and have decent soldering skills. after you find the burnt area, you need to bypass it with some high guage wire.

Just get a new one from junkyard.... shouldnt cost too much..

Resolder the two large white relays on the circuit board.
