Hmm. Electrical prob?

I am led to believe that my Alt output is not cutting it. When I turn the wheel sometimes the engine shudders. I dont know if thats belt driven or electric. When I roll the windows down it shudders. When I first turn on the lights it shudders.

I also noticed a nasty electrical noise coming from the front underside of the car when I put the ignition in the ON position without starting it. Sounds like those power lines with the gigawatts running through them.

Aside from the worrying noise. Should I upgrade my Alt? would that solve my power issues? Or is the battery not discharging quick enough?

it sounds like that sound you're hearing could be the fuel pump which is a normal sound, you probably know what the fuel pump sounds like though. won't hurt to clean different electrical connections, grounds, battery terminals, charge the battery and go to battery exchange and get your alt tested.

Nah i know the pump. Thats not it. Pump sounds off in the back. This is coming from the engine bay. And its a hard buzzing sound. Like high voltage sign buzzing. Like Jurassic Park fence buzzing. And it is constant. It doenst turn off. I will test it today and turn on the lights, see if the pitch changes. But yea I want to rewire a few things under there. Clean things.

Battery Exchange a chain?

get your alt and battery tested at advance auto or auto zone.

best case scenerio: a methed out lesbo will go out there and not know wtf to do. at least that's what happened when i went to lottozone to have some codes pulled from my old escort. i thought battery exchange was a nationwide chain. might just be a nw company though.
