Today, by chance, I happened to run into an old college buddy.

Surprisingly, he also was driving a 3rd Gen. I particularly liked the wheels he had on. I asked him how much he paid for them and he said they were bought at Sears for $249/set. I was quite amazed. They looked tight and were polished.

However, my local Sears co-incidently, have them on sale but for $75 a piece. That comes to $300.

Has anyone else actually seen them for $249/set anywhere?
I have finally decided to upgrade my wheels since the clearcoat is badly peeling off.

BTW, they are the AR-157 15x7 wheels.

Yeah.....

Sears around my way always has those sales on rims...usually $249 for select 15's, $289-300 for select 16's. some of them are pretty nice and a great bargain! I think they also have a powdercoated set of ARs available as well that are on sale....they look kinda sweet!

Are you positive that the select AR wheels for $249 are for 15 inchers?

The sales guy told me that $249 price were probably for 14 inch wheels by AR. Since I could not find an old ad, I could't argue with him. Should I buy em for $300 or wait till they go on sale for $249? I just hope that the $249 price are definately for 15".

I've got 15" AR rims

I've got some real smooth lookin' chromed 15" AR rims, the last owner put them on, doens't remember how much he paid, he says around $300 though...they look like they could be much more expensive, they're a great deal even at that price! I've got pics, but no scanner, gonna go get them scanned at a friend's house next week, will post them here as soon as they're online.
