Just ran into two problems...

My day couldnt get any worse... To start off I have two annoying problems that happened to me this morning (as you can tell by my topic). This morning as a I was parking my car to go to school, I noticed I can't turn the steering wheel of my car, it was really really tight to turn, so i couldnt even park correctly. So I decided to pull into a Pep Boys parking lot and park there till I get out school, which isnt a very long time. Now at this time I was frustrated because it was 6 in the morning and I didnt feel like dealing with this, so out of frustration I slammed my driver door harder than usual, then when the impact happened my driver side window like fell down, so I am like what the **** now. I go back to see if I can pull my window up and with my luck and turn of events I can't, if I push the window down button and then I push up I hear a clicking noise coming from the window slot thing... I didnt know what to do cuz nothing was opened and I was pissed and I was in a rush, so I left it there stranded with the driver side door down and see if I can talk to one of the Pep Boys guys when I come back. I think for the steering wheel problem I need power steering fluid (I could be wrong) but the window thing I am clueless. I have no idea how my window got like that, I usually close my door pretty normal all the time and out of the chances it happens now? Any suggestions/ideas?

To all the sudden lose power steering,i would look at the drive belts, maybe the p/s belt has broke...But check the fluid level first..

The window problem is pretty simple...You need a new window regulator...

if the power steering getting stiff happened with no noise first chances are its a belt.
not like it really matters, just pop the dam hood and look the fluid resrvoir and the belt are next to each other, you can check both without even taking a step

Ohhh! the window regulator!! I wish I had known about this forum when mine break about 2 years ago, i have no idea and took it to a body shop to fix it and they need to order it and will take 7 days, and labor was 200 bucks and I was like WTF!!! so got one from autozone I strip my door and do it myself, no diagrams and no info, first time stripping my door was a pain in the A** but hey I saved the 200 right? anyways I love my Maxima even with this kind of issues that you get used to it. Good Luck

Well I just came back from Pep Boys they said I needed 3 new hoses (forgot which ones, im in a rush will name them later), a new thermostat, and a coolant flush. They also said that antifreeze was leaking or something like that...Does this sound about right just cause my steering was tight? Or did they give me like a whole car diagnosis, cuz I only mentioned my window (which they cant do) and steering wheel problem. Anyways... the price came to about $440 including tax. I said I would come back later and fix it, I tried to look for other places for my window but I dont know where there are Auto glass places. I am gonna check out another place I know to try to get it cheaper, if not I will get it fixed at Pep Boys

Oh almost forgot, when I got my car back my steering was tight at first but on the way home it got loose back to normal...probably temporarily... is this weird?
