occasionally shaking

For a 93 Maxima GXE with around 95,000 miles:

Recently I just noticed some occasional shaking while driving at 40~50 mph. I don't know exactly where it comes from, but I can feel it on the steering wheel and the throttle and it seems coming from the front wheels. The shake is pretty strong and only lasts about 1 or 2 seconds. This only happens probably once in a week. By the way, new spark plugs, wire set and four tires (balanced) were just put on. So what sign could this be? Thanks.

If your tires are balanced, it's possible that it's the right CV shaft support bearing. I had a similar problem with mine, and found that the bearing was pretty much toast. It will likely start as a small shaking, and get progressively worse as the bearing wears out.

Thanks.

I think it's time to replace those drive axles -- actually they are in bad shape with toren cv boots.

zilves, where exactly is this bearing you're talking about because i've been having some shaking problems lately pretty bad, I originally thought it was the driver side wheel bearing but i already replaced that and still no dice
