1993 Maxima SE

Was looking at this Maxima earlier and may consider buying it. It is an SE, but no 5 speed. But I've been wanting to get my hands on a semi-clean VE. Problem is, it apparently has an ABS Control problem. (It's faulty) How much are these usually to replace? Also, Car appears to be in very good condition...

not many of our ABS cars actually have functional ABS. I don’t, bad sensor.

Good price as of now $1025.00

EDIT: Oh ask if it ticks...

+1 Or ground them out. Dude I'd get it if you have the money + money for basic repairs.

Yeah, I'm really leaning towards it since I can probably sell my VG for equal or lesser value than it, give it a simple tune up if it needs it... and have way more car. Just worried about that Automatic, I DESPISE the Automatics in these cars although I heard the VE's are a bit stronger.

I think you could find a VE closer to where you live for about the same price ($2k, which is what the ebay price is + $1k for the ABS sensor and labor).

Besides, what would that cost, like $150 each way for gas? Plus, probably an overnight stay along the way each way and food. That is if you could get it fixed local to the guy. You would be looking at probably $3k after everything is said and done.

Either buy one that needs no work from a long ways away or buy one that is cheaper and needs work near you.

I don't know...I have the feeling that this one looks shiny in pics but in real life won't be great. With this rust I wouldn't consider it especially when you can get an excellent ve for $1500 or less with good brakes and all...

I don't think you are as bad as I am with mine...

Mine has no rust, plus it's a 5-speed, plus, no airbag or abs to malfunction.

on the no rust and being a 5spd but mine does have ABS (working) and an airbag (plus almost everything new...including paint). I only mention my car when I see someone is relatively close though so I dont ***** up many posts .

Actually I am still not 100% sure I am selling my car but probably will with the new baby on the way. If its a boy I will need to finish my garage but make it a room instead.

Check Your Plugs and Wires, Clean your throttle body, IAC, and MAF, Run Some Injector Cleaner through, possibly sea foam.

Sounds like injectors to me. Had that problem 3 times. First 2 injectors failed 180k miles, then another at 190k so had other 3 replaced also, then at 203k had those last 4 all replace - bad batch.
