Bar's leak working ?

I heard some folks said it is junk and will block engine fine passes. But also heard many said it worked like dream.
Any one used before? any comments on it?
My co-worker's maxima has a minor leak and he is trying to fix it with Bar's leak coolant stop leaking stuff.
TIA.

that stuff is evil.

It clogs up your radiator leak, but also clogs other things, as well. My brother had a Supra and he foolishly put that stuff in there. It stopped leaking, but it would run hot and he had a lot of trouble afterward.

After he saved up money, he had to replace the radiator, heater core, thermostat and flush that junk out of every part of the cooling system.

I highly recommend against it. It isn't that hard to replace a radiator.

use it if you're going to sell your car shortly afterwards. if you're going to keep it then repair/replace the component.
