LED Spoiler Brake Light
#2
You could do that...it'd make it brighter... if you replace the bulbes in the tail lights with LED you'll need a special resistor to allow the turn signals to work correctly.
I grafted a Caddy 3'd brake light into my decklid/trunk. It's prity neat...
Hope that helps, Scott~

Well, it's been quite a while (and I only have pics of the "in-progress" build), but what I did on my old Max was go to this website, buy some LED strips (which had the resistors already installed), and "frankengrafted" them into my brake light housing.
If you go that route, keep in mind that they come in different lengths - a mistake I paid for in shipping costs.
Good luck, and hope that helps.

You could probably talk to Dan (Metal Maxima) about building an LED to replace the bulbs inside the 3rd light housing. I think you would have to keep the same red piece, though. Basically, the same concept as putting in LED tail lights.
I have an LED spoiler for sale, but it needs some work. It just eliminates the stock rectangle and has the lights built into the spoiler.
