Swapped struts today...

Hello guys,
I just got done changing my struts. It took a little over 8 hours because of all the damn rust on our cars. I had to cut three bolts and such but anyways. I found out that my rear brakes are totally out-one of them is barely touching the rotor and the other one isn't doing anything(the rotor was nice and rusty). I'll iverstigate if it's the caliper or the bracket later next week....Anyways, if one of you guys need some tips let me know...Have a good night...

P.S.
I discovered a kick a$$ way to clean your old 3rd gen wheels and make them look like new in 5min. Go to NAPA and get starting fluid. Do one section at a time-spray,count to three,wipe with dry cloth-done. Works much better than any wheel cleaner that I've used so far...my wheels literaly look new...

so you swapped struts between 2 cars? why not just buy new and lower while you're at it?

by swapped I meant changed with new ones Yeah, I've had 10 maximas so far and it was always "fun" working on them. I've worked on many cars so far and I can honestly say that the maxima is one of the hardest ones-engineering wise I don't think that they are so great. The best one that I've seen so far was a 92 Mitsu Diamante-zero rust and everything made sense...

Did you do all 4 or just the rears? I need to replace my front struts and some adjoining parts but I'm not sure I can do it in a driveway so I'll probably buy parts and pay for the work.

r=(365-d)-m

in other words, you live in minnesota if you don't protect against rust, any car there is venurable. the fact the diamante had none could be many reasons, but it's definitely not that it's immune to rust. sure, if bolts and such are rusted to hell it's going to be harder to work on a car. but what doesn't make sense about these cars mechanically? imo, they aren't that hard to work on. look at a mid 80's honda engine bay. the motors are a twisted bunch of vaccum lines and oddly placed components. the vg gives you a junkload of room to work, less room with the ve but it's still pretty straightforward. if you're referring to the rh axle, i'll have to agree, cause that thing really is a pita, but other than that, i can't think of anything all that difficult considering it's a v6.
