What are the best shock to get for my max(91SE). I have the eibach springs and was wondering whether I should get the Tokico(blue HP's or illuminas), the Koni's or the KYB's. Also is the Addco or Suspension techniques sway bar better.

If you can shell out the extra $$ for the Koni's that would be your best bet. There are some complaints about the 'floatyness' of the Tokico's. The KYB's are pretty close to OEM.

No problem. Here is a link to the Koni install procedure if you decide to do it yourself. It's not as bad as it sounds.....

Koni shocks, definitely worth the $$ from what I hear.

As for the sway bars, Addco makes only a rear bar.

sus Tech makes a front and rear set. I've never ridden in a car that has the addco rear, but my car has the Sus tech set, and it's a night-and-day difference before and after them. you won't regret the money spent.

if you're going with the shocks and sway bars, you would be best off if you also bought some lowering springs to install while you have the struts apart. Eibach are my recommendation.. it seems you want handling, not looks... sus tech springs are very soft, but give a little more drop than the Eibach. Intrax are your other option, but I haven't heard much good about them. they drop 1/2" lower than eibachs, but the ride isn't as good.

If I had the money for Konis, I'd jump all over that deal. my recommended setup is: Koni shocks, Eibach springs, and Sus Tech sways.

I hear the Eibachs are great for handling, but rough on the ride. I've also heard Intrax are solid, but lower too much for most people's taste. I'm thinking of getting H & R springs, they say they are almost as good as the Eibacks as far as handling is concerned, but a bit more comfortable. Since I'm in it as a daily driver with some kicks, this seems to be the best spring set for me.
