I have three choices:

1) Tundra TRD 4x4 w/limited slip, new stock tires
2) Infiniti QX4 4x4 w/limited slip and 4 studded snow tires
3) Maxima fwd w/limited slip and 4 studded snow tires

I think my choice is whichever one has more gas in it at the time.

Yes its a 5000LB car should get around fine. Not only rwd but a mint 45000 mile jaguar at that.
My max should be done by jan.

Black Max (see sig) till gold max (see sig) gets fixed.

I may try to borrow my Dad's 95 Volvo 850, Winter mode tranny, ABS, Leather, Duel zone (one warms the cabin, the other defrost) and it's faster than the black maxima....somehow

Taking the Max on one more road trip this weekend...When I get back she's going to be parked in the garage with a cover on. I plan to do a couple things over the winter including removing the eiback/koni setup and cranking them down from 50% to about 90% stiffness. As my sig says, got myself an 89 Buick Skylark for the winter ($100)!!! Also a buddy of mine pretty much told me he'd give me a Buick Century (3.3L) if I wanted it...Hell, yes!

I picked up a 1989 S-10 with 37,000 miles for $750. Fully optioned, heavy-duty towing package, the big 4.6L V-6. A little rusty but solid and, with that milage, can I beat the price.

I just got my maxima so that's what i'll be driving.. there's no way it can be any worst in the snow and ice than my 240sx was so I should be good even with the regular all season tires on..

If I get around to it, I'll finish my Maxima up and drive it because the Z probably won't like the snow too much.

I am in the south also...it snows here every 5 or 6 years and it never lasts for more than a day or so.

I will be driving whatever I feel like. Company Jeep most of the time, Wifes Toyota van or my Max if I decide to title and tag it.

Cool car, we have/had a bunch of Jaguars in the past few years.

I just don't understand why they don't make em with manual trannies (well it's rare, at least here in the states), especially the XJS... You got a humongous V12 and you're stuck with a 3 speed automatic.
