Stock headlamp Q..

Follow me here for a second. I'm thinking of upgrading the stock lamps to the 9007's and while looking in the lamp itself I noticed the metal guard that shrouds the bulb. I know the orientation of the 9007 bulb is opposite that of the 9004, and I was wondering if I should remove the shroud or if it would just cause horrible glare for all thoes in front of me?

if trying to upgrade the stock headlight housing then forget it. no h.i.d, no removing metal lighting guard. either you live with the stock and upgrade the bulb or just go with a set of bmw lights.
