Trans: electrical problems next day

Well guys long time no post but I've been internet-less for a while now and my only way of checking out the board is at friends' houses so it cant be done as often as before.

Anyway to get to the point, I attempted to remove my tranny so I could replace with one that Alex V sold me but I was (along with some friends/mechanic) to remove the TC those bolts were on there pretty tight so I said screw it because I cant unscrew it and decided to put everything back together and give up.

At any rate, after I got everything back together I went around the block to test the car and make sure everything was fine beside the slippin tranny that only drives fine on "2" and everything was ok. SOOOO today I went to my car to go return the air compressor I purchased for the job and it started normally but once I put the car on "D" which is now "2" it shut off on me immediately and it happened 2-3 times. The last time I just started the car and revved it upto 6k RPMs twice and that solved the problem. BUT on the process of leaving my garage both of my $40 Silverstar headlight bulbs blew and my sound system works at times and not consistently.

Once the headlights blew I decided to pop the hood and take a look and the battery was soaked in a clear fluid that did no look like any other in the car. Yes it was battery acid or sperm .. I didn't think my 169.99 optima would do that to me.. so I went warrantied it while returning the air compressor, replaced headlight bulbs with original and they're working fine but the bass is inconsistent so I'm still a little worried and what the problem could be. Has anyone here ever had that problem on their car after putting back the transmission together? or just at all? What could be the cause for these problems?

This tranny is a pain in the fanny

Alternator, similar thing happened to me. System kept cutting ut under little to no load one night on the way home, as soon as i pulled into the driveway, the car started sputtering and then it was dead. Well that would at least solve ur electrical problems, dont know what would cause it to stall like that tho

if you had liquid than chances are it was overcharged by the alternator

Thanks for your replies, I went to my old job and warrantied my alternator..but before doing so I tested it with their famous Midtronics eletrical system tester and my alternators output was like 16.75 +/- and the battery was reading 12.40 which is normal. so I just installed new alternator and battery seems to be nice and dry even after having car running for a few minutes. As for the sound system I have not driven the car yet to test but I will find out tonight on my way home. Do you guys know if that could've been the problem with my headlights?

Once again thanks guys.

So my baby spent the weekened in the shop getting a new (rebuilt) transmission and should be ready Monday (today) cant wait to pick it up and drive it once again. I guess the 1st post is what made me give up on my 5speed swap, plus it was gonna be a while before I had the money for everything and my auto was going too fast.

So this week should be good for me
*New tranny Tuesday but they're throwing in front motor mount for $50
*New tires from tire rack are on their way should be here Tues or Wed
*Exhaust leak/stud will be getting done by customer from Murray's who has shop

Ah yes, once this is taken care of I will only have a few things left to do before I begin bugging Michael to fix and touch up my body That didnt sound right did it?
