Okay, lets break it down:
Looks- totally kickass, 18's would look absolutely dope, especially with the drop....
Ride quality- Expect it to be more harsh then 17s obviously, they will be bigger, heavier, tire will be more thin.. easier to damage the wheel too... Tire is more expensive, easier to damage tire....
18's are for more for looks, don't look for performance gains, 17's will be good enough for both, but when I had 17's I thought they were too small!!! Some people regret it.. it's up to you. I know the decision is tough, trust me I went through this before....
