Just an opinion

Dude! I don't really blame the car. I think in this case it was the driver. You know driving fast in any type of car wether its Nissan, Honda, or Toyota, it's going to kill the car. Give Nissan another chance. Almost everything you named has to do with wear and tear except for the tranny. Stay in the family! Move up to the 4th or 5th generations.

a much better looking car, more reliable, more power, more solid, better handling, better resale value, should I continue? Here's your total bill:
tranny rebuild = $1000
eibachs and tokicos = $550 + labor, or kyb's only = $249
all new exhaust = use warpspeedperformance.com = maybe $500?
brake job = under $200
So for about $2000 you got a sweet ride that will go at least another 100,000 miles.
Just my opinion, that's what I would do.

Greg.. nooooo...
I pi$$ on Hyundai...
-DeCromier Nissan has a 5spd Max '95 for $7,500.
-I found a red 300ZX in the Hartford courant for 10,500. If it's a turbo it's prolly screwed up, but if it's NA it might be a good deal
-Audi A4 turbo 5spd ALL OVER the place for about 15k
When my inside guy comes back from Europe... I'll see what he has for around 10k, prolly a water damage bimmer or somepin...
later
