well... i got my cattman FSTB from a fellow orger

install was easy... i did it in a parking lot at 9 'o' clock with friends pushing on one side lol

i wanted to adjust it to make it fit better, this time i used a jack and jacked up one side to get the towers closer for a tighter fit

i think its simple, but im backwards at doing things... easy things are hard for me and hard things are easy...

but i like it deff bang for my DOLLAR

It's just a random ebay one I bought awhile ago. I've been trying to sell it for awhile now. They all work the same though.....just a rigid bar and brackets to mount to the strut tower. It has black brackets and it's a shiny leightweight aluminum round bar.

Not chrome, it's polished aluminum.

yeah....paint probably wouldn't stick too well. I suppose if you lightly sanded it, put on a few coats of primer, and some high temp paint it might be more durable. Or a powdercoat..... But then you'd be spending almost as much to paint it as you paid for it.

Yep... Thats The Exact Plans I Have... I Just Dont Want The Polished Aluminum Look... I Wanna Keep It Pretty Clean Looking So It Wont Stand Out When Looking At The Engine Bay Which I Try To Keep Pretty Clean...

The DOHC needs a different bar, than the SOHC
the DOHC uses the 00-03 bar

yes...if you have a 92 up Maxima (DOHC or NOT) you need the 5th gen bar because of the AC line (and intake plenum on the DOHC).

If you didn't notice a difference, then you never really paid attention to the way the car rolled in heavy turning versus the "go-kart" style turning it does now...be one with the car :-p

+1 I just installed my ebay FSTB this past tuesday, and man what a world of a difference. The car used to roll around like a boat, it would go though a corner, but I'd end up in the passanger seat. Now the roll is GREATLY reduced. Defenite best bang for the buck upgrade. Can't wait till I can arrord konis+eibachs. And better tires.

I don't know if a STB alone will give "go-kart" style turning. I didn't feel too much of a difference with that suspension mod alone. However, when I added the RSTB, and sway bars.....woah momma look out. The car seriously handles better than the miatas I've taken autocrossing in the past.

True story!

You're tempting me to get RSTB and swaybars...while we're on topic, anyone know how much they'll run me?

I see alot of people have strut bars but it seems like whenever I go on ebay the only ones offered are for 95-99 maximas. Those wouldn't fit our cars, would they?
