Well, I sold my max today and picked up this...

After some thinking I decided to sell my maxima. The first person that came to look at it picked her up. There wasn't really a specific reason for the sale since everything was in great condition mechanicaly. It simply felt like a geo metro to me after I drove my new toy. Oh well, I guess I just wanted something different for a change since I've been driving nothing but 3rd gen for the last 7 years. I would like to thank all of you for all the help through out the years. I know I'll be back sooner or later And now the new toy....

mint condition without a single issue except for a couple of broken plastics and missing ornaments which will be replaced soon

hehe-no dubs for me. i honestly think that the original wire hubcaps look best on this car. Also, there will no tinting of any sort. The color of the factory windows looks just perfect. I am glad you like it...here is a pic I took a few minutes ago(I hope it's not too dark)

wow

I don't know what to say about that one.

Unless you are very large (and need the room), I don't see how that is much of an upgrade.

good luck, though

the car has the 307. Everything works perfect on it inluding the self level suspension plus there isn't a spot of rust. I m getting 17mpg mixed driving right now but I know that the car needs a major tuning because the air filter is probably 5+ years old and it simply seems like the hood hasn't been opened for a while. It is true that I'll be getting a little less mpgs compared to the maxima but in my opinion it's insignificant. In perfect tune the car should get 24mpg highway which is 2 less than my ex 92 ve. What this caddy has though is perfect body, smooth ride and waaaaaaay more style than the maxima will ever have. People talk to me at gas station and "peace" me while I drive. Last but not least an O2 sensor costs $13,knock sensor is at $19, distributer and cap are $20, trannies are $75+ and readily available. I know that it's very different compared to the maxima but so far I couldn't be farther away from having a buyer's remorse(sp?).

Personally I hate the way caddys and lincons ride. Your so separated from the road you fell like your riding on ocean. Then again I hate leather seats and drive at a decent speed around corners.

Dude I don't even know what car that is...most of those domestics from then just blend in together....

I can see how someone could prefer driving such a vehicle. My first car was an 84 Olds Ninety-Eight Regency, which I loved until the motor exploded. Very comfortable car with not great but livable power output (I thought it had a 305, but maybe it had the 307?). All of my friends loved riding in that car and I felt so cool driving around in it. Definitely something you need to experience to really appreciate. Congratulations to you. Hope it treats you right.

Congratulations on what seems to be an impeccable, unique and rare condition Caddy. Oftentimes it's good to deviate from the "crowd" and youve finally done that after 7 years. Amen to the clacking VTC's, window regulators and the list goes on.

Best of luck and ensure it doesnt get "banged "up.

Pop a feather in that hat, Pimpin!!!
They don't call it "Cadillac Pimpin" fo' nuthin!!!

I can see rollin in one of those...driving a Century for the winter and it's way more comfortable than the Max on these rough roads, but forget about any performance driving. I could drive luxury everyday, but I'd need a yin to my yang when the speed freak in me wants out!

How 'bout some more info: how many miles, what year is it, history of the car, cool options, etc???

well, it's a 89 Brougham with 122k(as it turned out). The car is mint in everyway except for a few broken plastics outside and missing ornaments(everything already ordered). The pics that posted do not do the car justice at all. This weekend there will be a major tune up-new plugs,wires,rotor,cap,O2 sensor, knock sensor, pcv valve, oil+filter, fuel filter, grease everything under the car, tranny oil and filter and a few other small items. All this will cost me less than $150 in parts and will probably take all day. What is really nice about this is that the car will be truelly perfect after this wekend-body,interior,mechanically. With all my maximas, I kept sticking in a lot of money and at the end, they never looked good enough enough...oh well.

Best thing about a GM is that almost every mechanical part including the control head for the A/C is available NEW through Delco.
That's part of the reason I bought my wife a Montana versus any other van

My friend has one much like that. I actually enjoyed driving it for just cruising around town. I wouldn't give up my cars for one, but I definitely wouldn't complain having one to just drive around.

They're definitely boats but damn, it rode very nice.

haha, so you people call them boats eh? i don't think i've been in north america long enough to know about them. like some other dude said, it sure would be nice to be able to move into one of these when you go homeless..

float to a nice spot in the mountains and start rocking it with your girl. most of the time you're IN the car you won't see the boxy exterior anyway, not that the 3rd gen is very curvy...

maybe i should pretend i wanna buy one of those and test drive one.

Now that I would believe. With my suspension work and low profile tires, there is definitely noise and rattles.
