Vibration in reverse - any idea?

This one has me baffled.

I backed my car up my driveway yesterday and noticed this "vibration".

Here's a list of knowns.

- Shifts into every gear as it should
- No slippage
- When I shift in to R, it engages as it should. No funny vibration in R
- When I apply gas in R, I feel it. Through the steering wheel/body
- If I back up by "creeping" in Reverse (no gas applied), there's no vibration.
- Transmission fluid is at correct level. Car was properly warmed up and the I checked the fluid with the engine idling. Fluid color was cherry red
- I backed up going straight, left and right. Symptoms seem the same backing up straight, left or right.
- It is a bit cold around here recently - about 40ish (Fahrenheit).
- Vibration doesn't get worse the higher the RPM.
- No Vibration when I rev the engine in Park or Neutral or in Drive.
- Car drives just fine in Drive. No vibration.
- Engine is in good shape.

Any ideas?

I'm wondering perhaps engine and/or transmission mount maybe going bad....

I might be going out on a limb here but, maybe try jacking it up, put it on stands and run in it reverse, just to see if its a load only ordeal. I know you said it's only when you apply the gas, but just try giving it throttle off the ground and see if anything changes.

It was bad mounts. One of the tranmission mounts had failed completely.

I changed all the mounts. Problem fixed. Thanks

i have had the same prob but i have a manual and instead of a slight vibration it bucks violently and locks up abruptly and stalls i think it is the cv joints bc it makes a lash noise in 1st -5th at any speed but not in nuetral. still goes into gear fine but it got stuck in 1st for a little bit but only happened once also think it could be throw out bearing, clutch, or i spun reverse i could use a second opinion b4 i spend all kinds of money
