Suprised... I beat a modded VG

I've been beat by a whole assload 'o
VG's but for some reason today I raced
some dood at work and beat him.
He has WSP Y-pipe, CAI, superchip ecu upgrade,
advanced timing, who knows what else?
Anyway, I'm suprised because we took off even
and I just sort of pulled ahead real slow.
I think i got 1 car ahead on him then i just sort
of let off the gas. Anyway how does that sound?
Do you guys think my coworker was racing me or just
toying with me?
BTW I'm stock with a stupid 100 lb stereo system in the trunk.

You are suprised you beat a VG with a VE what is your problem?

That shouldnt matter much though...The VE should always start out behind the VG in first gear and the VE should always weind out and spank the VE in 2nd,3rd,4th and if you have it 5th.
