Looking for pics of 89+ VG ECU

Does anyone have an 89+ VG30 ECU that they wouldnt mind taking pics of the internals?

Im trying to find out which early nissan ECU's are tunable, via modding the files located on the EPROM chip. Alot of the earlier ECU's are very different (My 85 Maxima ECU, and 85 Z31 N/A ECU are completely Different, but both compatible in the opposite car, Not sure if either one is moddable yet)

If my project goes good here, I can make some tunes for VG Maxima's. And I will be willing to sell the chips at a decent price (~$30). If that goes good, and someone is willing to supply me with a .BIN file of an VE30DE, or the ROM chip, I would be able to make some tunes for VE max's as well.

The Stock ECU, as a base for an Engine Manegement system Is actually quite powerful, and almost as good as some standalone units, and definately better than a Piggyback fuel manegement solution.

I would be greatful If any 3rd gen members would give me some pics of the internals of their ECU's.

Also, If anyone would like to list the year of their car, and the number on the ECU, Im trying to make a list of the differnt ECU's, and their compatibility with the mod.

Thanks!

dude you're a savior. Please keep on top of this thread and let me know how things go. I've been looking to tune the ECU for some time now but don't have the cash for a program and emulator. I'll get you info on mine as soon as I can!

I have an Emulator and a Programmer coming shortly. Once I get a .bin, I should be able to tweak the maps.

I know this would be great for the maxima community, because JWT ECU's are extremly expensive, and if you really look at JWT's tuning, its not really worth it, people can make their own tunes, and they would be much better. JWT only tunes ECU's with their optimal settings, which is NOT optimal on other cars, only the ones that program was made for!!

Most of the later model ecu's (90+) have a 16 bit bus and require a daughterboard with an even and odd eprom setup for chipping. Some of the earlier ones do have 8 bit buses and use a standard 27c256 eprom but I know for sure the VE's are 16 bit.

JWT's site contains a list of ecu's and part #s. Their tunes are relatively simple for the most part, they eliminate the knock maps and raise timing by a couple of degrees while leaning out the fuel mixture.

I've done alot of research on the tuning myself, its just that its hard to obtain info this indepth about all the differnt ECU's.
I've seen alot of info about all the tunes the different companys have, they are not as tweeked as most people would like, and can take away from HP in different setups, N/A or Turbo. Thats why its important to have your own tune, so you can iron out any little problems, and tweek for more power.
