unplug ant-pwr to keep from breaking in cold
its soooo cold (for western washington anyway)
first my door locks were frozen....used my cig lighter to warm my key up
then the door was frozen shut...had to lightly bang around the perimeter
then i thought i better not break all four window regs....had to scrape around windows and bang a little
then i thought i bet my antenna will break ...had to reach in trunk where the
jack is and unplug the two plugs(power and timer plugs)
....frozen blues

I agree it's cold up in the NW. Our low is supposed to be around 6 degrees tonight.
If you don't turn on the radio, you won't have to worry about the antenna. Listen to some CDs for a while until the weather warms up.

and in a few days ill plug it back in for the rest of the year since it should be back to mild (all 3 maximers ive owned have working ant.)must be the real cold places where they are famous for breaking and all 3 masta-mas ive owned never had window reg or fuel injector problems for the last 6-7 years
Two things I remember from winters in Chicago, Use Lock-ease squirted into the locks. This prevents water from freezing in them and lets them work properly in the cold. Also, there's no good way to lube the antenna for the cold. Just keep the mast wiped down and clean, perhaps wiping it with a rag sprayed with WD40, but don't soak it as any lube on the antenna causes it to stick.
ohh, geez... I forget about what it's like for other people who live in Cold Climates for daily routines... that SUCKS...
