what about the speed sensor?

The speed sensor will defintly cause this problem with the speedo. The tach, I donno why it would do that.

Both cluster and sensor could be.

 

Can anyone send a manual drawing of speed sensor location?Thanks

Yeah,that pic was when i first got the car,it has since been cleaned up..I was teh lazy for a while...

 

My speedo used to stop working for periods of time, and I noticed that my speed sensor was REALLY dirty from spilled oil, just like greeny's pic. I took out the sensor, cleaned it up, and now everything works fine! Be wary though...the speed sensor for a VG and VE are different, so if you start looking for a new part be sure it's the right one....a foolish mistake I made.

 

where is the speed sensor located on the VE...any pics?
